Dave joins the Capital City coaching staff after spending many years as the Track and Field coach at Archbishop Jordan High School where he just retired from as a teacher. Dave competed in track and field in high school as a multi sport athlete. Dave also played football in grade 12 after playing high level hockey for many years prior. He was fortunate enough to continue playing football after high school with the University Of Alberta Golden Bears from 1990-1994. When his football career was over, he took up the sport of Triathlon. He completed 4 Ironman distance races and was a 2 time provincial champ in Sprint and Olympic Distance triathlon. While he was competing, Dave ventured into coaching triathlon. He has his NCCP Comp Intro certification in Triathlon and was also a Learning Facilitator in Alberta teaching entry level triathlon courses for Triathlon Canada. Dave is still involved in football, serving as the Defensive Coordinator for the Edmonton Wildcats Junior Football Club.
