Emily Cliff
U14 & U16 Power/Speed/Jumps Assistant Coach
Emily has grown up in Edmonton for almost all of her life. She was introduced to track and field in junior high, where she fell in love with the sport. Emily joined Capital City Track Club as an athlete in high school where she was coached by Rob Fisher and Ciera Heshka-Wolf. Currently, Emily is pursuing her Bachelors of Kinesiology majoring in the Adaptive Physical Activity stream at the University of Alberta. Emily is also competing as a varsity thrower on the U of A Track and Field team. When Emily is not throwing or coaching, she enjoys acting in movies and commercials, spending time with her dog, travelling, and working part-time at Highlands Golf Club. For the past three years, Emily has been assisting Rachel Yee with the junior development program. She is always excited to bring her knowledge and first-hand experience of throwing shot put, discus, hammer throw, weight throw and javelin to the group. Emily is passionate about translating what she has learned as a thrower to the younger generations with hopes that they too will find joy in the sport like she has!
