Welcome To One of Edmonton, Alberta’s Most Successful Track and Field Clubs.

With over 30 years of history behind us, we have an established place in the athletics community in Edmonton and Sherwood Park and are always working to grow our sport in the central Alberta region.

All of Capital City’s programs support the Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model set by Athletics Canada for optimal training and development. The coaching staff have the capability to coach all track and field disciplines (sprints, endurance, jumps and throws) and at all levels (provincial to international).

We are now accepting new members for the year (2020/2021). If you are interested in joining, please contact us directly for more information.

Training Update – September 2020

Under the direction of Athletics Canada, Athletics Alberta and Alberta Health Services, track practices are able to resume for the fall. Please check with your coach regarding training before showing up to any practices. Athletes who wish to continue with their at home programs can do so. More information on COVID-19 from Athletics Alberta can be found at this link.

To be able to train, it is a requirement to complete a daily health questionnaire (see the above section). Athletes will be sent home if the questionnaire is not completed prior to their training session. If athletes are feeling unwell, please do not attend practices.

At this time, the club is also following the AHS recommendation for athletes to only participate in one sport. Please contact your coach if you intend on registering and are currently in another sport before attending practices.
