Provincial and National Teams 2022

Capital City is proud to announce that the club has several athletes who will be representing Team Alberta and Team Canada at several meets this summer. It’s safe to say that Capital City will have a good representation at all the big meets this summer.

Canada Summer Games:

Congratulations to the following athletes who have been named to the Canada Summer Games team.

  • Malachi Murray
  • Hannah Heise
  • Tegra Jan-King

In addition to the above athletes, congratulations to the following coaches who were named to the Canada Summer Games coaching staff.

  • Ciera Wolf
  • Raeleen Hunter

The team will be heading to Niagara, Ontario to compete August 14-21, 2022.

Tri-Prov Team:

Congratulations to the following U16 and U18 athletes who have been named to the 2022 Tri-Prov team:

  • Carmen Chu
  • Jillian Delaney
  • Carl Chu
  • Connor Bath
  • Addison Lauer
  • Kendra Justice

The team will be competing against Saskatchewan and Manitoba at the Sherwood Park Track Classic that Capital City will be hosting July 22-24, 2022, in Sherwood Park, Alberta.

Legions Team:

Congratulations to the following U16 and U18 athletes who have been named to the 2022 Legions team:

  • Carmen Chu
  • Connor Bath

The team will be heading to Sherbrooke, Quebec to compete August 5-7, 2022.

Commonwealth Games:

Congratulations to Malachi Murray who has been named to Team Canada for the 4x100m relay at the Commonwealth Games. The Commonwealth Games will be hosted in Birmingham, England on July 28 – August 8, 2022.

World Athletics Championships:

Congratulations to Malachi Murray who has also been named to Team Canada for the 4x100m relay at the World Athletics Championships. The Championships will be hosted Eugene, Oregon on July 15-24, 2022.
