Throws Program

Program Description

Have you ever thought you have a lot of power and speed, but sprinting or weight lifting just isn’t your jam? If so, then becoming a thrower might just be for you!

Our throws programs caters to athletes of all ages and athletic abilities. Whether you just want to learn the basics or are trying to make nationals, we will help you develop and refine the skills necessary to achieve your goals.

Events:

  • Shot put
  • Javelin
  • Discus
  • Weight Throw
  • Hammer Throw

Details

Coaches: Ciera Wolf and Emily Cliff

Age: Athletes aged 14 and up (born 2011 or earlier)

Training Details:

Sept/October: TBD

Nov – March (Indoor Season) – training locations may include the Butterdome and TTC

April – July (Outdoor Season) – training locations may include Rollie Miles Athletic Park and Foote Field
