Power/Speed/Jumps Program

Program Description

Are you ready to take your training to the next level? Athletes in this group can expect training that focuses on events in the power/speed/jumps realm. Whether you are new to track or a long time athlete looking to make nationals, this program will help steer you towards your goals.

Events include:

  • Sprints (up to 400m)
  • Hurdles
  • Jumps (including high jump, long jump and triple jump)
  • Combined events

Lead Coach: Kevin Blimke/Raeleen Hunter

Assistant Coach: N/A

Age: Athletes aged 16-19 (U18 and up)

Training Details:

  • Sept/Oct (base training season) – Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (locations vary)
  • November – April (indoor season) – Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays at the UofA Butterdome and Saturdays at Saville
  • May – August (outdoor season) – Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at Foote Field
