It has been an exciting few months for Capital City’s Austin Cole. Austin ended his indoor season by being named the U of A Track and Field Male MVP of the year as well as winning the Wilson Challenge Trophy as the Overall Male MVP for the university. Following that he found himself in Japan competing in the IAAF World Relays in May.
More recently, Austin was named to the NACAC U23 team where he brought home his first international medal for an individual event. He ran a solid 400m in a time of 45.90, a new personal best for him and enough to bring home a bronze medal!
The fun does not end there; the mixed relay team that competed at the IAAF World Relays also competed and he found himself coming home with not one, but two bronze medals!
Austin is a prime example of what hard work, dedication and discipline can lead to and Capital City is proud to have Austin as part of the team and as a role model for our young, upcoming athletes!
